CSi presents the new ABB IRB 660 palletising robot
On the CSi stand at the Interpack event, the brand new IRB 660 palletising robot from ABB can be seen in action. For over 17 years, CSi has been collaborating with ABB and integrating ABB robots in their material handling systems. As a strategic partner of ABB and their main system integrator, CSi was involved in defining the optimum robot specification for the new IRB 660 robot. As a result CSi has been given the opportunity to launch the new robot together with ABB at the Interpack event in Dusseldorf.
The new IRB 660 ABB robot, with its increased reach of up to 3.15 meter radius, a payload of up to 250 kg and increased speed, has been specifically developed for the material handling industry. Seven pallet positions and four pick points fit easily in the new IRB 660 working envelope.
The IRB 660 will be equipped with the IRC 5 which can control up to four different robots and is equipped with a anti-collision module for complete safety. The MS-Windows like interface makes it easy to operate the robot and also control the complete CSi system.
The state of the art 4-axis robot in combination with the new multi-functional IRC 5 controller can offer a solution for most palletising requirements.
To see a live demonstration of the new IRB 660 palletising robot from ABB with the IRC 5, visit CSi at the Interpack event, Hall 12 booth C14,
